Description
Until mid-1926 all motor vehicle registrations in Newfoundland, then a British dominion, were processed by the Municipal Council of the City of St. John’s. This handwritten ledger includes each registrant’s name, registrant's address, the vehicle’s make, the registration number, registration fee, transaction date, and occasional notes, including noting vehicles as trucks or for hire. This list covers numbers 5001 through 5726, believed to be all 1924 registrations.
