Description
Letter from Fred J. Uhrle, Chief Customs Officer of the Government of American Samoa to Keith Marvin (ALPCA #282) acknowledging a letter and enclosed payment. Mr. Uhrle sent Mr. Marvin 1940, 1941, and 1942 license plates and provides a brief description of plate use in 1943 and 1944. The letter also indicates that license plates were first issued on the island in 1925.
