Abstract

Description

A history of Michigan license plates from the prestate period (1903) to the present (1994), including dashboard discs, passenger plate variations, validation tabs and stickers, and windshield stickers. After a review of passenger license plates, the remainder of the book is organized by registration type, generally with a page or less of text on each type followed by black and white photographs illustrating runs or select plates of that type. Includes a color chart, discussion of license plate grading, and glossary of terms as appendices.
