Description

A reference work describing and illustrating the contemporaneous license plates of a majority of the nations of the world. Each entry includes the description of passenger and select nonpassenger license plates including colors, size, decals, graphics, legends, number format, and codes with illustrations of various plate type. Includes introduction. Uses the following nonstandard or obsolete jurisdictional names: Burma, Ceylon, Congo (Brazzaville), Surinam, West Germany and the Union of South Africa; East Germany is not included. Looseleaf format was intended to be updated annually. Table of contents (in French) may not be accurate.
